Now, to my understanding, this happened A VERY LONG TIME AGO. Eons in the Entertainment business. I just had to share it, because it kinda… sorta BLEW ME AWAY!
I KNOW FOR A FACT
That PUB SINGERS are way more talented than many actual singers. I have loads of friends that SOUND SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS when they sing a song. Some, eventually get a break, and start doing what they love professionally, but many of them just remain ‘pub singers’ …It’s a shame, really, because there are people out there that are wildly talented, and nobody is looking to promote them. Entertainment today is all about boobs, and who’s shagging who, and who went out on a drinking rampage where. It makes me sad.
(a.n – The article linked above ^^ is really funny! I think everyone who heard gossip/rubbish about the subject should go read that. Apparently their site crashed due to the popularity of this article. I can see why )
I love this song, and this guy just made me love it even more!
edit: The crowd was amazing, the dude was fucking brilliant!!!!! and I think Simon jizzed in his pants.
well, I still haven’t decided if this is going to be a weekly thing, or what… I had a really bad day on Saturday, and those of you who have me on facebook know a little bit about it. I said I will blog about it, but then I realized it’s not worth the attention. Long story short, about 50 soccer fans, all drunk out of their minds, traveling in the same train as I were under the impression that they’re the awesomest (is that even a word?) people in the Universe. One of them made a move on me, and I warned him that if he touches me he might lose a limb. He tuched me anyway, and I smacked him silly. He fell on his ass, and it almost started a riot. I wanted to call my ex-sensei (one of them, anyway…) to round some of his students up and come spill some blood. As I was talking to him, I realized it wasn’t worth it, and the fact that I was talking on the phone with him and hearing the others argue about how they’re gonna defend him, but that if they get beaten up, they’ll eat the above mentioned guy for breakfast (read: beat him up so hard his own mother wouldn’t recognize him) made me chuckle and calm down a little bit.
Those who know me, know that I turn to music for practically everything. Ergo, the post I am writing today. Since I last posted, there has been literally tons of music I discovered, and listened to (for some cool music, visit my chart on We Are Hunted – link on the right –>> ). However, you won’t find most (if any) of the songs I am about to post there.
Starting today, I decided to post my weekly/ monthly playlist for everyone. I am not sure if this will be a weekly or a monthly thing yet. So barewith me(yes, I am saying ‘BARE‘, not ‘bear’. I am inviting you to get your mind naked with me. Have an open mind, and try to listen to these songs without judging the artists. Just the music. It’s all that really matters) . Leave a comment, and tell me which songs you like and which you don’t! It will be fun
Company Of Thieves – Oscar Wilde
Two Door Cinema Club – This Is The Life
The Weepies – Same Changes
Steffi Siefer – It’s The Pain
Fleet Foxes – Mykonos
Kings of Leon – Pyro
Local Natives – Wide Eyes
The Delfconics – La La Means I Love You
Band Of Horses- No one’s Gonna Love You
Death Cab For The Cutie – You Are a Tourist
Anberlin – Impossible
Manchester Orchestra – April Fool
Manchester Orchestra – Leave It Alone
Lissie – When I’m Alone
Funeral Party – Where Did It Go Wrong
Phoenix – Everything is Everything
This is largely what I listened to for the past month. I could write a huge review for every song on this list, but I figured it would be pretty boring. Enjoy the music, and have fun!
"Let's talk about music. Can we do that? Maybe rock, maybe roll. Your music, my music and their music. Whatever you're hearing, you have to admit it's in your ears always and sometimes it's in your soul, sometimes it's punching you in the back bone and makin' it hard for you to breathe. Take a breath - a deep one. I want to talk about music"
