what I love the most about these guys is that there’s new music every week. You don’t have time to get bored with their songs(not that you ever could, even if).
I love how these guys – once again – brought the attention to the lyrics… Something Katy needs to do more, in my humble opinion, because most of her songs have great lyrics, but few notice this because of the music… The words just seem to fade into the background sometimes, and it’s a shame.
My opinion is unchanged. Artists should pay BOYCE AVENUE to cover their songs, because they do a much better job!

Thomas Neptune.

Okay, so last night I got this e-mail… I initially thought it was spam, telling me about some guy named Thomas Neptune, and how he won the John Lennon songwriting contest (I actually made a typo, and it came out Jon Lennin, which was so funny for some reason, I couldn’t let it slide.), from someone at LaFamos.com , telling me that my blog is totally awesome, and that they would appreciate it if I’d blogged about him, because she noticed I blog a lot about music and stuff.

 

Sept 19th Playlist.

well, I still haven’t decided if this is going to be a weekly thing, or what… I had a really bad day on Saturday, and those of you who have me on facebook know a little bit about it. I said I will blog about it, but then I realized it’s not worth the attention. Long story short, about 50 soccer fans, all drunk out of their minds, traveling in the same train as I were under the impression that they’re the awesomest (is that even a word?) people in the Universe. One of them made a move on me, and I warned him that if he touches me he might lose a limb. He tuched me anyway, and I smacked him silly. He fell on his ass, and it almost started a riot. I wanted to call my ex-sensei (one of them, anyway…) to round some of his students up and come spill some blood. As I was talking to him, I realized it wasn’t worth it, and the fact that I was talking on the phone with him and hearing the others argue about how they’re gonna defend him, but that if they get beaten up, they’ll eat the above mentioned guy for breakfast (read: beat him up so hard his own mother wouldn’t recognize him) made me chuckle and calm down a little bit.

Those who know me, know that I turn to music for practically everything. Ergo, the post I am writing today. Since I last posted, there has been literally tons of music I discovered, and listened to (for some cool music, visit my chart on We Are Hunted – link on the right –>> ). However, you won’t find most (if any) of the songs I am about to post there.

Without further ado, brace yourselves. This list is longer than expected.

 

Get Boyced!! -> A Weekend With Boyce Avenue, Part One: Seattle

I feel inspired, and this is why: Last week, Boyce Avenue kicked off their world tour (click here for tickets!!), and Melenie, from the Get Boyced blog attended both the show in Seattle, as well as the one in Vancouver. She wrote this review of the Seattle show that just melted my heart, and I want to share it with you. The pictures she took are amazing, and the way she writes inspires joy and happiness. I went to see Boyce Avenue live as they kicked off their 2011 US/Canada Fall Tour….first in Seattle, Washington at the Showbox, and then in Vancouver, B.C. at the Vogue Theater.  For both shows, I had a VIP Meet & Greet with the guys before the show through Artist Arena.  In Seattle, I got a special Meet & Greet with them after the show for doing promo/street teaming.Here’s my recap/review of the Seattle show.  My recap/review of the Vancouver show will be posted separately.

Today is 4 years since Boyce Avenue posted their very first video on YouTube. It was an acoustic cover by The Goo Goo Dolls – Before It’s Too Late.

Ps- New Musical Find.

Thanks to the guys over at Boyce Avenue , and their upcoming duet with Tyler Ward, I youtubbed (is that even a word? Like google -> Googled; Youtube -> youtubbed? LOL!) him, so I could hear his voice. I was curious. But I knew that if the guys are recording a song with him, he must have an awesome voice. However, I did not expect to find this.

His voice is addicting. Not as addicting as Alejandro’s (LOL), but I kind of take dirty pleasure in listening to this song. It’s like the velvet texture of his voice is gently gliding across my skin. I love his voice. And in a perverse way, it almost feels like I am cheating on the guys (Fabian, Alejandro and Daniel from Boyce Avenue) every time I enjoy any of Tyler’s tracks a wee too much.

(ps- not to be rude, but I think he should lose the bieber cut. Not cool, dude. Not cool at all. You’re too talented. Ergo, you should get a cooler haircut)
