what I love the most about these guys is that there’s new music every week. You don’t have time to get bored with their songs(not that you ever could, even if).
I love how these guys – once again – brought the attention to the lyrics… Something Katy needs to do more, in my humble opinion, because most of her songs have great lyrics, but few notice this because of the music… The words just seem to fade into the background sometimes, and it’s a shame.
My opinion is unchanged. Artists should pay BOYCE AVENUE to cover their songs, because they do a much better job!

Hoping that this will be the first of many tracks that I will be able to say ‘You’ve heard them here first!‘.
I got my hands on this amazing late night recording… And I wanted to share it with you all, so this is the purpose of this post.
My computer is still not fixed, but thank God it’s not the only one I own. Even if I can’t be online as much as before (I apologize to everyone for not replying to your e-mails; it’s been hectic…) but I want you to give this song a listen, and then leave a comment below, tell me what you think about it. I personally adore this Acoustic Cover… It is also, one of my favorite songs of all time , so there’s one more incentive to share it with you all.
The quiet desperation I sense towards the end in his voice is just indescribable. That’s all I’m gonna say. The strong emotions that I felt listening and watching this video inspired me. Hope you like.
Okay, so last night I got this e-mail… I initially thought it was spam, telling me about some guy named Thomas Neptune, and how he won the John Lennon songwriting contest (I actually made a typo, and it came out Jon Lennin, which was so funny for some reason, I couldn’t let it slide.), from someone at LaFamos.com , telling me that my blog is totally awesome, and that they would appreciate it if I’d blogged about him, because she noticed I blog a lot about music and stuff. The amazing Boyce Avenue have had almost 2 Million Views, on their newest cover video on YouTube, Here Without You by 3 Doors Down, in only 4 days!!!!!!
Can we make the 2 Million marker in under a week? We can!!! Together.
Ok, enough chatter. Go watch the vid. And share it with your friends!!!
Thanks to the guys over at Boyce Avenue , and their upcoming duet with Tyler Ward, I youtubbed (is that even a word? Like google -> Googled; Youtube -> youtubbed? LOL!) him, so I could hear his voice. I was curious. But I knew that if the guys are recording a song with him, he must have an awesome voice. However, I did not expect to find this.
His voice is addicting. Not as addicting as Alejandro’s (LOL), but I kind of take dirty pleasure in listening to this song. It’s like the velvet texture of his voice is gently gliding across my skin. I love his voice. And in a perverse way, it almost feels like I am cheating on the guys (Fabian, Alejandro and Daniel from Boyce Avenue) every time I enjoy any of Tyler’s tracks a wee too much.
(ps- not to be rude, but I think he should lose the bieber cut. Not cool, dude. Not cool at all. You’re too talented. Ergo, you should get a cooler haircut)
From the lack of a writing mood, I am just going to copy and paste several conversations I had -back and forth- with Alejandro of Boyce Avenue and Melenie from the awesometastic GetBoyced blog on Facebook onto my blog. They all revolve around the same video. This cover.
I wish I could say something really smart, but I can`t … not just yet. My brain seized functioning the moment I started listening to this cover and I haven`t recovered yet. Notice the change in the lyrics, and notice Ale`s amazing voice, and let it take you in a world of its own… Every time I hear this guy sing is like hearing him for the first time. I get butterflies in my stomach , and my heart starts to flutter…. Thank you, guys, for making my day a lot more beautiful, every time.
"Let's talk about music. Can we do that? Maybe rock, maybe roll. Your music, my music and their music. Whatever you're hearing, you have to admit it's in your ears always and sometimes it's in your soul, sometimes it's punching you in the back bone and makin' it hard for you to breathe. Take a breath - a deep one. I want to talk about music"
